At the age of thirteen, Francesco Basile started to take drum lessons in his hometown, Taranto, Italy, after listening to the music of James Brown and other early funk and soul artists. When he was 18, he moved to Rome where he attended the 'Universita' Della Musica UM for several years, studying with the most valued performers and teachers. While in Rome, he also started teaching and touring all around Italy with different artists.

Francesco decided to move to the US to study under scholarship, at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, in order to take the chance of giving a competitive bonus to his professional career. His complete dedication to music has always been the strongest passion of his life. He is graduating from Berklee by 2007 in Professional Music and has spent most of his time in Boston playing gigs and recording with a vast number of musicians in the Boston area, as well as New York, Los Angeles, and Canada. Francesco Basile is currently one of the most in-demand drummers in the Berklee community. He is very well known for his "pocket" and "sound" as well as his "timing" and strong backbeat. His musical growth is leading him to being a professional studio drummer and a pop/funk/soul/R&B touring performer.

His extensive resume includes performing with many artists including Dontae Winslow, Dawaun Parker, Chocklate, Jahi, Raheem DeVaughn, Danielle Scott, Eda Ines Etti, Zach Hillyard Band, Rebecca Muir Band, Brooke Parrott Band, Adam Shenk, The Garrison Delight, Meet The Day, and Aedius just to name a few.
