Enrique Lara Bisch

Born in Hamburg, Germany, and raised in La Paz, Bolivia. I began playing the drums at the age of 6 and haven't lost that same joy ever since. I took formal classes when I was about 12 and during my last 4 years of high school I began to play in numerous bands, the styles of which reached from Jazz, to Funk and to Bolivian Folkloric music. Musicians from the Bolivian music scene that I played/recorded with include Manuel Monroy Chazarreta, Danilo Rojas, Victor Hugo Mercado, Juan Pereira, Jorge Echazú, 'Miguel Lara Band', 'Fiction Jazz', singer-songwriter 'K' and most lately with Bolivian artist Rodrigo 'Grillo' Villegas. With a number of these musicians I played at the annual Jazz festival (the "Festijazz La Paz") for the last 4 consecutive years. In the summer of 2005 I began my studies in Berklee College of Music majoring in Music Business & Management and Performance. Currently I am participating in numerous projects one of which is Cactus Rebelde, a pop-rock band that brings musicians from all around the world together.
